General Lash Extensions Questions

1. What is the difference between real and fake eyelashes?

First, false eyelashes often feature a black band to hold the lashes together and adhere to the eyelid. If you see a long black band running along the lid, it’s safe to say it is a false lash. Another sure sign is that the lashes are far too thick to be natural. Natural lashes tend to have a certain voluminous quality.

2. How long does it take for my lashes to grow back after I get them done?

It will typically take about 6 weeks for the eyelash to grow back in if it’s cut or burned but there’s no damage to the follicle or eyelid.

3. Is there any way to make sure my lash extensions don’t fall out before I go home?

A) Sleep on your back. Sleeping with your face pushed into your pillow can cause your eyelash extensions to fall out quickly.

B) Avoid Water and Steam for the first 48 hours.

C) Comb Them Regularly.

D) Always Use Oil-Free Makeup Remover.

4. Can I wear makeup while wearing lash extensions?

Anyone with lash extensions must avoid using oil-based makeup since it tends to mess the glue of the false lashes. It very much applies to eyeliner and other eye-makeup products as well.

5. Are lash extensions permanent?

Because extensions are attached to the lash itself, they last as long as the natural growth cycle, or about six weeks. To extend the life of the extensions, Richardson recommends using a lash conditioner and to gently comb through your lashes with a dry spoolie brush.

6. Will lash extensions hurt if I rub my eyes?

Eyelash extensions can also cause your eyelashes to break or thin out. This can largely be avoided if you don’t pull or tug at your eyes, or rub them. The gentler you treat your eyelash extensions, the less likely you’re to hurt your lashes.
