First Aid Training Manual Overview 

This will give practitioners the theoretical knowledge of some basic First Aid. It covers a selection of hazards which may be associated with conducting aesthetic treatments, and what to do in response to some of these situations.   

Vaso-vagal Response 

Vaso-Vagal Reaction / Attack (Fainting) 

Fortunately, what a Cosmetic practitioner will most often encounter is non-life-threatening conditions such as: 

• Fainting (Vaso-vagal episodes) 
• Panic attack 

• Breath holding episode, or; 
• Idiopathic (non-allergic) urticarial or angioedema, 

All of the above will usually respond to simple measures.
